Doubters and skeptics need to see a changed life coupled with a courageous witness.
Some Responses of Skeptics
- They get stuck on philosophical or theological issues
- They find the supernatural aspects of faith difficult
- They see commitment to Christ as crazy
- There is an emotional component to the rejection of truth
Give Them A Great Gospel Explanation
- Prepare with prayer and truth
- Spiritual and intellectual preparation
- Schaeffer, apologetics is pre-evangelism
- Yet, no-one will be argued into the kingdom of God
- Present truth as knowable
- Present God as He reveals Himself
- “You are not God’s editor, you are His publicist”
- We don’t water down doctrine to make it more palatable to unbelievers
- Present Christ as savior
- Present Scripture as authoritative
- Present repentance and regeneration as necessary
