ABECAR (Brazilian Association of Education, Culture, Welfare and Religion), was founded in 1958 BIBLE MISSION Berean in 1972 was augmented with the new name ABECAR This diversified ministries was realization of the couple Willis Rev. Gordon Stitt and his wife Neus Ruiz Stitt. The couple continues as founding directors of the entity, structured with a board that determines the factors used in the “staff” administrative.

The vision of the founding couple was in Brazil to establish a place where workers prepare qualified evangelical leaders to serve as the cry of the great Brazilian Seara devoid of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. For such a challenge was acquired 10 acres of beautiful property nestled in the picturesque Sierra Itapeti of the city of Mogi das Cruzes in São Paulo.

Soon began the daunting task of landscaping the property, facilities and set up several ministries that are now known throughout Brazil, with current representation in 16 countries abroad, including the United States.

ABECAR is used by evangelical churches of all denominations to conduct camps, picnics and retreats. High school graduates in the various theological courses serve as pastors and leaders both in Brazil and abroad. Orphaned and abandoned children are benefited by the Department of Social Services who reside in a “Family Home” under the care of a loving couple that cares for them as children themselves.
